About Jack

The builder behind the project.

A calm, considered approach, clear communication and an uncompromising commitment to quality define every project I deliver.

Slatter Building is a specialist residential building company built on craftsmanship, precision and personal service. When you work with Slatter Building, you deal directly with me from our first conversation through to construction and final handover.

Building exceptional homes has been a genuine interest for as long as I remember. I began my carpentry apprenticeship at sixteen, and over the past twenty years have worked through every stage of residential construction, from learning the trade on the tools to leading site teams, managing complex projects and becoming a licensed builder.

For most of my career I have worked on architecturally designed homes, major renovations and high-end residential projects where precision and quality are simply expected. Those experiences shaped the standards I bring to every project today.

After establishing Slatter Building in Melbourne, I spent six years delivering architecturally designed homes, major renovations and extensions across Melbourne's Bayside and surrounding suburbs before relocating to the Tweed region.

My role is to ensure every detail is executed as intended. I interpret plans thoroughly, identify challenges early, coordinate trusted trades, manage budgets carefully and maintain clear communication throughout the process.

Today, I intentionally take on a select number of residential projects each year so I remain personally involved from the first conversation through to final handover, giving every client the attention, quality and commitment their home deserves.
